We’ve lost a dear friend of the company.
Dave Bassler passed away Wednesday at 80 years of age.
He retired from Confer Plastics Inc. in 2011 after having worked at CPI for the previous decade. He also worked for the company in the late-1970s and early-1980s before spending almost 20 years with Airlock Plastics, another blow molder which, by the way, had been started by CPI founder Ray Confer.
Dave was a real asset to Confer Plastics, handling many an electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repair in the plant while overseeing the parts ordering – and outside repairs – for all of our molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
He even volunteered a helping hand at the Confer Classic charity golf tournament during his retirement.
He was a great guy.
Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
