Confer Plastics, Inc. will be closed Saturday, August 25th through Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd for our annual plant shutdown and vacation.
As many manufacturers do, we schedule a shutdown period every year so that we can ensure that most of our employees take a vacation while our technical crew and outside contractors conduct maintenance and upgrades on our facilities, infrastructure and machines.
Some things to note about various facets of our operations…
Production: There will not be any production taking place during the shutdown week.
Upper management and customer service: Our front office has been encouraged to take the time off, so we will be operating with only a skeleton crew. It is likely that our phones will go to the auto-attendant at that time. If your contact is out on vacation and you need to reach someone, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and the remaining staff will do their best to address your concerns.
Shipping and receiving: Our S&R operations will be only bare bones during shutdown week, with one fellow managing both of our warehouses. We encourage incoming and outgoing shipments to occur either before or after our shutdown (as we get closer to shutdown, please reach out to your Confer Plastics contact to make the appropriate plans). We will be able to accommodate only a few shipments or receipts during the break.
We hope that our shutdown week does not pose any problems for your operations. We try to schedule our shutdown for a time when it will create the least amount of conflict for our customers, and we’ve found that the last week of August is the best as it is “between seasons” for most of our customers as their business activity really winds down in late-August.
