These silos and the others on site allow us to hold a total of 1.25 million pounds of raw plastic at once. We’re going to increase that storage capacity — today we are applying for a building permit for 2 more silos, which would add another 420,000 pounds of material storage. We’re doing this to be ready in the event another bad hurricane hits the Gulf Coast. Last year, Hurricane Harvey decimated the factories in Texas that make our materials, which impacted plastics manufacturers all across the USA. These new silos give us an even greater ability to weather storms like that one and meet our customers’ needs during tough times. As the Boy Scout motto says: “Be prepared”.
