Weather notice for January 2, 2018

The weather is pretty dicey today (Tuesday, January 2nd) in some parts of WNY. High winds coupled with a lake squall band that runs from Buffalo to Batavia have just forced the Weather Service to issue a blizzard warning that runs till 1:00 AM for Northern Erie County. So, if you live in Erie County locales such as Buffalo or Williamsville, don’t come in unless you really want to. It will count as an excused absence. Anyone coming from Niagara Falls, North Tonawanda and other Niagara County locales don’t face such conditions (although it is windy), so it’s still a regular work day right now (but that can change if the weather does). If you are an Erie County resident who misses work today and you choose to work Saturday, it will still count as OT pay if you missed today because of the weather.
