In February, New York Power Authority CEO Gil Quiniones toured Confer Plastics along with Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul. They liked the tour so much that they encouraged NYPA’s Executive Vice-President & Chief Commercial Officer Jill Anderson and her commercial operations team to tour the plant, which they did today. They were able to see a really wide variety of products being made, meet our people, learn about our history & innovations and experience our machines, which are some of the biggest in the world.
Confer Plastics and NYPA are in an excellent partnership. NYPA has provided the factory with allocations of Replacement Power and ReCharge NY energy that are produced cleanly and cheaply at the Niagara Power Project which allows Confer to remain competitive — and green — in a global marketplace while keeping 260 Western New Yorkers employed.
