Free prom dresses for girls in need; week of April 16th

If you know of a family that will have financial difficulties in sending their daughter to the prom, help can be found at Confer Plastics’ Liberty Drive facility which is now a service center for Becca’s Closet. Becca’s Closet was created as a legacy to Rebecca Kirtman and the project she created prior to her passing in 2003. Becca’s Closet donates formal attire to high school girls with financial need who otherwise would not be able to attend their schools’ military balls, homecomings and proms. Their mission is to continue her vision and dream of helping others. You can learn about Becca’s Closet at beccascloset.org

The Women Helping Others organization at Zion Lutheran Church in Gasport opened a chapter of Becca’s Closet in 2015 and they literally have hundreds of slightly used or new prom dresses to distribute at NO COST to girls in need in the area. To allow them to easily distribute dresses on the western side of Niagara County (Gasport is on the eastern side), so they can help young ladies in Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda, we are giving them storage space and office space at our facility at 2107 Liberty Drive in Wheatfield.

This Tuesday (April 18), Wednesday (April 19), and Saturday (April 22) they will have fittings and distributions at the Liberty Drive office from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Spread the word among family and friends!
