On Wednesday, April 19th, Niagara University hosted its Earth Day Eco Fair. Students and staff were able to visit with numerous organizations at the campus’s Gallagher Center. Among the organizations represented were the Sierra Club, the Niagara River Greenway, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Confer Plastics had a booth there. Frank Fedele and Mark King discussed our green practices with visitors while talking about how consumers and manufacturers alike can be better and more environmentally-sound in their use and re-use of plastics. Our team discussed the ills of water bottles, plastic bags and microbeads while highlighting the benefits of clean energy, UV additives, and recycling among other practices. They also discussed the benefits that plastics provide society with durable goods, medical equipment and technological advances.
