The Tour de Cure was launched by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in 1991 and is the Association’s signature cycling fundraising event. In 2014, more than 60,000 cyclists in 86 events raised more than $29 million to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
In 2016, Confer Plastics will be making a team that will participate in the June 4th event that travels through Niagara Falls and rural Niagara County. It offers something for everyone, from the beginning rider to the experienced cyclist. There are cycling route options of 6, 18, 30, 65 or 100 Miles, and a new option to select the 5K Walk/Run.
Our team will be led by Connie Confer, Christine Eick, and Mark King. Any interested Confer Plastics or Adecco employees (or their families) should see them to sign up.
Anyone on the Confer Plastics team will have their $15 registration paid for by the company and CPI will also pay the first $50 of the $200 each individual must collect in donations to participate.
